If you don't know your PC's current IP address, gateway or DNS, take a look here: (coming soon)
In the image you can see in detail the windows that appear during the procedure and where to click.
- Click on the Start menu.
- Open the Control Panel.
- In the search space, enter "card" and network connections.
- Open the network connections center section.
- Click on modify card settings.
- Right-click on the card whose settings you want to change.
- Select properties.
- Now you can place on IPv4 (normally) or IPv6 (to change this lesser-used connection type).
- Take a look at the properties button and you will be able to change the settings.
- If the active selection is "Obtain settings automatically" (the router provides us with the IP), you can change it to "Use the following IP address".
- Now you can enter the computer's IP address, default gateway (normally your router) and subnet mask.
- In addition, you can enter a custom DNS, e.g. 8.8.8.8 from Google, your gateway or another one you like.
